Islam

Explore Islam, its beliefs, sacred scripture, prophets, history and holy places.

Islam is a monotheistic religion centered on belief in one God (Allah). Muslims regard the Quran as sacred scripture and Muhammad as the Messenger of God. Islamic religious life is also widely associated with the Five Pillars: the declaration of faith, prayer, charity, fasting during Ramadan and pilgrimage to Mecca.

On Nesi.ca, I explore Islam through sacred writings, history, travel and personal study, while also looking at its connections with Judaism and Christianity.

Quran

The Quran is the sacred scripture of Islam and stands at the center of Muslim faith and religious life.

Explore its teachings, stories and references to figures also known from Jewish and Christian traditions, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Mary and Jesus.
